This small but dedicated team are heading to Switzerland in April to compete in the world championships qualifiers.They hope to have a top 4 finish which would mean World Championships in Australia in August. They receive very,very little funding €2000 per annum and are totally reliant on the generosity of family and friends and fundraisers, eg. bag packs,table quizzes, bucket collections and even sponsored sky dives.
Every penny raised will go towards them reaching their goals of reaching Australia and eventually the 2020 Paralympic games in Tokyo.

Irish Wheelchair Rugby (IWR) is responsible for the development, promotion, and regulation of Wheelchair Rugby in Ireland. Wheelchair Rugby was introduced to Ireland back in 1997, thanks mainly to the efforts of Garrett Culliton.
