We are a group of Volunteers from Craughwell hoping to raise as much money as we can for Pieta house throughout the course of 2017. We have purchased a new 'Chariot' - a 16 year old BMW and converted it to a 'supporters' Chariot. The car of course its donned in the Maroon and White as would be expected. The Charioteers will then 'ride to battle' with our Senior Hurlers for every league and championship match during 2017. Don't be surprised if you see us at any other Galway GAA matches of any age or code or any other Galway sporting event for that matter. And of course if you do, please don't be shy and support a great cause.
We are still in the process of getting the Chariot adorned with sponsorship. A varied and good number of businesses have already gotten involved - many thanks to those who have done so. A special word of thanks to Padraic Cawley, Gay Dolan and Des Sherlock for there help in getting us this far. We also greatly appreciate the sponsors who have come aboard thus far but would be delighted if more would get involved. Feel free to get in touch with us via Facebook, Twitter and Email.
We will be having an 'Offical Launch' next Febuary to conincide with the launch of the new Hurling season. A calendar of what we will be doing and where will be on our Facebook page and Twitter feed.
