In May i will be cycling from the north to the south coast of Ireland, to raise money for charity. It is an event organised by Denplan (a dental company in the UK,) and funded by the participants, so all money raised will go direct to the charities. I am jointly raising money for Make-a-Wish, who are Denplan's chosen charity. I am also raising Money for Jigsaw which was recommended by the family of my cousin who has passed away.
The route is more the 380 miles which we will cycle in 4 days with some serious climbs to deal with along the way. The longest day's cycling will be more than 100 miles. There may also be some wet Irish weather to deal with along the way.
Up until my recent training i have barely cycled more than 30 miles. So this is a really hard physical and mental challenge for me. Firstly to find the time around looking after our baby to fit the training in, but also to get to the finish for the actual event.
I would be really grateful if you would donate some money to Jigsaw and help people strugglin with their mental health.
Jigsaw are the national centre for youth mental health. They are there to ensure that no young person feels alone, isolated and disconnected from others around them. they provide vital supports to young people with their mental health by working closely with communities across Ireland.
Thanks for your help
I will keep you updated on my journey through facebook.
