Back in December 2024, iDonate was thrilled to be named the official fundraising platform partner for the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon for the next three years . To kick off this exciting three-year collaboration, our CEO Alan Coyne and Head of Growth Jill O’Herlihy were joined by Laura Smyth, Marketing Manager of DSD Events to host the first Empowering Fundraisers webinar ahead of the release of 27,000 race registrations going live on March 4th. The session equipped charities with the tools they will need for success in managing their Vhi WMM fundraisers.
The panel discussed; the plans in place in the lead up to the event on the 1st of June, the Vhi Mini Marathon Hub in the charities admin area of iDonate, the registration process, Tap to Donate and gave attendees a sneak peek at iDonate bespoke dashboards for the event. Followed by opening the floor to a live Q&A.
What are the bespoke dashboards?
iDonate have built bespoke data dashboards for all charities with mini-marathon fundraisers to provide essential real-time insights into fundraising performance. These dashboards will help charities track key data points at a glance, including total funds raised, the number of fundraising pages created, and the total number of donations received. They will also display the average amount raised per fundraiser, the number of fundraisers yet to receive donations, and whether fundraisers have added profile photos or edited their stories.
Additionally, charities can monitor revenue trends over time, track registrations, and analyse the amount raised per page. With these insights, charities can make in-flight changes to communication and strategies to better support their fundraisers and maximise their impact.
iDonate Tap for Vhi WMM
At the webinar iDonate CEO, Alan Coyne explained iDonate Tap – which makes fundraising even easier by allowing fundraisers to accept contactless donations using just their phones. This game-changing feature is available on both Android and iOS, requiring no additional hardware. The donor experience is seamless, mirroring the way people pay for everyday purchases. Donors simply tap their card or phone to the fundraiser’s phone to make a contribution. They can select their preferred donation amount and receive an instant receipt.
Charities and fundraisers can also utilise this feature to collect donations on the day of the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon. The impact has already been proven as Alan explained with the average collection per fundraiser at an event over Christmas 2024 reaching €30.
The Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon takes place on June 1, 2025, bringing together thousands of women to run or walk in support of meaningful causes. Registration is now open! 🔗 Register now at www.vhiwomensminimarathon.ie
